Opening the door for young women who carry a heartfelt desire to grow in wisdom and faith through a Christ-centered education—one that equips them to walk boldly in God’s purpose for their lives.

PURPOSE

Lavender Courage is a faith-based ministry devoted to leading women into a time of refreshing, while equipping them to walk in courage—spirit, soul, and body. With a passion to see women fully step into their God-given identity and to live out their calling with renewed confidence, we desire to invest in the next generation of young women who are ready to lead and serve, seeking to grow in wisdom through a Christ-centered education.

With the Fresh Start Scholarship, our desire is to recognize young women who are ready to rise with conviction to this purpose. The scholarship will be awarded to one incoming first-year female high school student (grades 9-12) attending KUEST Academy who demonstrates this readiness and a strong desire to pursue God’s call for her life.

IDEAL RECIPIENT

The ideal recipient is a young woman who:

  • Possesses a heartfelt commitment to grow in her faith and live out her God-given purpose

  • Leads by example—with integrity, honor, and a servant’s heart

  • Models strength of character and respect among her peers

  • Is willing to take initiative, meet challenges head-on, and do the work necessary to nurture her calling

  • Strives for academic excellence and desires to expand her knowledge through Christ-centered education

  • Intends to be an active and engaged member of her family, church, school, and community

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

  • Female student entering KUEST Academy High School (8th & Up) for the first time

  • Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus and a desire to be in a Biblically-centered educational environment

  • Shows leadership potential, Godly character, and a teachable spirit

  • Has submitted the Fresh Start Scholarship Application Form

  • Minimum GPA 3.0

  • Has a combined household income of less than $120,000*

*(Income greater than $120,000 does not exclude applicants from consideration, but simply affords extra consideration for those applicants who are below the maximum income level.)

  • $750 Tuition Assistance (provided directly to KUEST Academy on student’s behalf)

APPLICATION PROCESS

Eligible applicants may request an application from the KUEST Academy office by phone at (740) 251-3731, by email at office@kuestacademy.org, or in person. A link to apply is also available above. Applications are now available. The deadline to apply is August 22, 2025, and the scholarship recipient will be announced on the first day of school.

To be considered, applications must be submitted by the deadline and completed in full. Please be prepared to provide the following:

  • GPA documentation

  • A reference from an adult in leadership who has known the applicant for at least three years and can speak to her leadership qualities

  • Verification of whether the household income is above or below $120,000

  • A signed parental statement

Applicants should also be prepared to address how they meet the “Ideal Recipient” criteria during both the written application and interview process.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Applications will be reviewed and applicants selected for interview.

  • Interviews will be conducted by designated KUEST Academy leadership.

  • Final 2–3 candidates will be recommended and submitted to the sponsor for final selection.

  • The sponsor will conduct a brief interview with each final applicant (via Zoom or in person).

  • The sponsor, with prayerful consideration and collaboration with KUEST Academy designees, will make the final scholarship recipient selection.

  • The selected recipient will first be notified privately of her selection, followed by notifications to other applicants.

  • Following the award notification, Sponsor will provide an award letter and a sponsor gift package to the recipient, either in person or via mail.
