ACADEMICS

A Commitment to Excellence

The KUEST Academy experience is more than just quality academics.  While we hold high standards for academic excellence, we realize the indispensable role that social, emotional, spiritual, and physical health play in the success of our students.  At KUEST Academy, we strive to equip the whole person of the student, to help them become confident, compassionate leaders in the world.

Curriculum

Accelerated Christian Education curriculum is used across the globe and for decades has been used for academic skill building, goal setting and character building—all with strong Biblical integration. What parents appreciate about the A.C.E. method, is that it is non-traditional and students are not put into an academic box. Instead, students are trained to be independent learners, mastering concepts and progressing in subjects according to their individual ability. Students who are more skilled may accelerate in their areas of academic strength, while those who find the material more challenging may take as long as necessary to complete it. Each student, while working at his own level of proficiency, will master the material. Daily, KUEST Academy students are trained in goal-setting for their academic work, training them in the life-skills of assessing, critical thinking, organizing, and completing daily projects.

Athletics

KUEST Academy students are currently participants of Christian-based, competitive team sports, including co-ed soccer, boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball. In 2023-24, we celebrated our Varsity girls winning the State ICSO Championship in both volleyball and basketball. If your student is interested joining others from KUEST Academy to play competitive soccer, basketball or volleyball, we can connect you to the partnering sports programs.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts is a big deal and the team at KUEST Academy is tenured in teaching drama and music! Every year, KUEST students from elementary through high school have the opportunity to be a part of school musical productions. In addition, KUEST Academy participates in Regional Convention (1-day for elementary and middle-school students; 1-week for upper middle-school-high school students), where students compete based on their individual giftings. With over 150 events, including categories like creative composition, art, photography, engineering, computer design, vocal, instrumental, speech, drama, and athletics, our students are trained to compete, as the KUEST Staff endeavors to help bring out and sharpen the giftings and talents in each student.

College Credit Plus

KUEST Academy works with families who feel their students are academically ready, to participate in Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) opportunity. CCP can help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses during their high school years. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. The KUEST Academy staff works with families to help apply for CCP, as well as choose dual-credit subjects to complete their high school transcript while earning college credits.

Chapel and Small Groups

Chapels consist of special times of worship, Biblical instruction, character development and Leadership Training. Throughout the year, KUEST Academy conducts chapels to develop students spiritually. Small Groups for older elementary, middle and high school students are designed for social-emotional health, creating a safe environment and mature mentors to give students a place to process and develop emotionally and socially.
